Sharon & Bernice - June 2016 - Via our Owners Direct link - Posted on: Monday 15th of August 2016 at 01:33pm

We were met by Christine and Andrew, the owners on Saturday and had a lovely chat about the things we needed to know about the cottage and the area. There was a welcome basket of bread, butter, eggs, jams, orange juice and milk. There was also some tea and coffee bags so you could leave the shopping until Sunday if you arrived late. The cottage was really comfortable, especially the beds. Everything you could possibly need is provided, including boxes of tissues in all the rooms, a lovely touch. There are plenty of brochures, games, DVDs, CDs and walk books available. We were on a walking holiday and found that there were more than enough options for walks in the books and folders. The cottage garden is delightful. Enclosed and a South facing sun trap. We had breakfast outside most mornings and a well earned cuppa after our walk in the late afternoon. Dwygyfylchi is a good central place for the North Wales area. Plenty of places nearby to go on good and bad days. We had booked to go to 'Zipworld' at Bethesda for a hair raising 100mph whizz on the mile long zip wire, not scary just a great big thrill! We went into Conwy to eat a couple of evenings, but the best food we had was at the Fairy Glen pub just a mile away up the road towards Conwy in Capelulo. Exceptionally well cooked home made food, big portions and very reasonable. We went there 4 times in the week! Alfredo's in Conwy was a good Italian restaurant. We had great weather, great food and together with the lovely cottage and kindness of Christine and Andrew, we had a fabulous holiday. Sharon and Bernice Isle of Man

The Moran Family via our Owners Direct listing - Posted on: Monday 15th of August 2016 at 01:29pm

This is simply the loveliest accommodation we've stayed in. My 7 year old thought it was the best house ever! The owners Christine and Andrew are a lovely couple and have put so much time and effort into making this a real home from home. The comfiest beds ever, beautiful bedding, fluffy towels, the welcome breakfast hamper, Lovely shower gels...loads of fantastic information and booklets on what to do on n. Wales including activities to suit big ones and little ones. Oh and the French doors leading out to a beautifully kept garden with stunning views. I could simply go on here. My 3 year old loved her little goldilocks bed. Such a well positioned cottage for exploring n. Wales and an easy walk to a couple of nearby restaurants. Wish we'd stayed longer. Thank you Christine and Andrew for a wonderful stay and making us feel so welcome and looked after.

We had a lovely time thank you and the cottage was brilliant, in a fantastic place for us, we just love this area. Mountains to the back and sea to the front what more could you ask for.

We looked through your walks and went to Aber falls we had a lovely walk and thoroughly enjoyed the views down the valley. We also took our bikes down to the promenade and had a lovely ride next to the sea.

One of the things that we always wanted to do was climb snowden and we achieved our challenge, shame we couldn't see anything at the top!!.

You are so lucky to have a property in our favourite area, we walked up the path behind the cottage and enjoyed the views. We had some lovely sunny evening sat on the decking watching the sunsets. Gary loved the fire and made it up most nights
.
There is so much to do around the area and we've only just scratched the surface. Just don't have enough holidays from work to do justice to it. We'll definitely be back.

Can't believe the house next to yours is still for sale, if we were in the position to buy we'd snap it up....

I'll add some comments onto the website for you, the cottage was fantastic, we've stopped in a few and this was definitely the best

Thanks for a great holiday.
